My program provides Snare Drum and Drum Set lessons to drummers of all ages and levels in the St. Louis area. Drum lessons can be in your home or my studio. Each drum lesson is tailored to suit the needs of the student and can be scheduled in 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions.
Areas of study include reading, technique, stick control, dexterity, and playing by ear. Snare drum
lessons focus on rudiments, contest snare solos, playing with an orchestra and drum corps techniques. Drum set lessons focus on popular
styles such as Rock, Christian, Jazz, Fusion, Latin, Blues and Country. Students are encouraged to learn songs of their choice and
receive awards for the successful completion of each drum instruction book.
With regular practice, students can be playing some of their favorite songs within 3 to 6 months
of beginning drum instruction. I have hundreds of note by note drum transriptions of music from the 60's to current releases. New songs are added weekly.
